A few years ago, I often felt trapped, like a bird in a cage. Even while doing meaningful work with the Salvation Army, something felt missing. I wasn’t fully using my talents, and it left me feeling unfulfilled—a period that led to burnout and self-discovery.
 
Today, I’m in a place of genuine joy and fulfillment. I’m so happy to have discovered art as a way to express myself, I love where I am in life, and I finally feel I’m fully embracing the talents God has given me. This sense of freedom and purpose inspired this series.
 
In these paintings, small birds symbolize freedom—the courage to be yourself, explore new possibilities, and follow your own path. They represent breaking free from what holds you back and embracing the life you’re meant to live.
